ICOM 7300,

I use this simple little filter with an extension speaker on my Icom 7300.  It is a low pass audio filter that attenuates frequencies above 3000 hz that are annoying to my ears but allows lower, voice frequencies to pass un altered.  This makes listening much more enjoyable and can be used with other rigs too.  To install, just unsolder one wire from your favorite extension speaker and solder a 10uF 16 volt, non polarized (sometimes called a bipolar cap) across the terminals of the speaker, and solder the 5 ohm resistor between the speaker terminal and the wire you removed.
